Arched shelter for agricultural use

Buy arched shelters for agriculture, industry & business

Find lightweight arched buildings for agriculture, forestry, industry and commerce in our online shop. The simple, yet extremely robust design is the perfect option for cost-effective, reliable storage.

Arched shelters built to last

Because of their design, all of our fabric buildings are long-lasting and robust. Every single arched shelter that we offer comes with guaranteed snow and wind loads calculated by structural engineers.

The materials of our arched shelters

All arched shelters come with guaranteed load capacities and are designed for year-round use. Loads are distributed evenly thanks to the rounded shape of the fabric structure and rainwater drains immediately, without ponding on the arched roof.

Fabric buildings with PVC covers

The PVC fabric tarpaulins of our arched tensile structures are some of the most hard-wearing and strongest building fabrics on the market. They are made of extra-heavy cast PVC with a tight-knit inner grid fabric. They are available in white, green or grey. All tarpaulins are 100% waterproof and highly resistant to UV radiation. The heavy duty tarpaulin is installed on the steel frame by means of a professional tensioning belt system. The procedure is simple and precise.

Air vents on gable ends create optimal air circulation and reduce condensation inside the building. Ventilation is important because the PVC membrane is not a breathable fabric. The gable panels of our arched shelters also feature two entrances: a large gate as well as a smaller door for quick and simple access to the building. The mechanism to open the gate is operated manually through a cable control system and a crank.

Arched Shelters with skylights

You can also buy a tensile fabric structure with skylights, to benefit from natural lighting and reduce electricity costs.

Whether opting for a single or double truss structure, you still have the option of selecting for leg distance - the distance between arches. Single-truss fabric structures have a leg distance of either 1 or 2 metres. Double-truss structures have a leg distance of 1.5 or 3 metres.

Arched shelters as alternative to permanent buildings

High quality fabric buildings are affordable alternatives to permanent structures. Purchase and assembly costs are much lower than is the case for traditional structures and yet, the building will still remain standing for years. For commercial and industrial companies, these buildings provide an excellent temporary or semi-permanent solution for a wide range of outdoor storage requirements. The arch design of the structure withstands all sorts of weather, making it suitable as a shelter even in exposed locations.

    Planning permission for arched shelters

Fabric buildings with an arched roof are ideal for creating simple, yet strong storage structures and allow you to start using the space for storage within a matter of hours of delivery. Unlike wood, steel or sheet metal buildings, PVC arched shelters can often be assembled without planning permission. To be sure, you will need to enquire with your local planning authority to ensure you are meeting the requirements of the building code. This is particularly the case for tents with a size greater than 100m² (roughly 1000 sq ft).

All weather shelters you can rely on

Provided the assembly was correct and occasional maintenance measures are taken, the hot-dip galvanised, robust steel poles and the extremely sturdy tarpaulin can be used for decades on end. Robust, fully galvanised frames withstand harsh weather conditions. The tent's steel frame is resistant to rust and comes with a 10-year warranty for corrosion. The PVC tarpaulin fabric is highly resistant to UV radiation and resilient towards changes in weather. Correctly mounted PVC tarpaulins come with a 5-year warranty, provided that they are not left open for extended periods.

    • Arched shelters with a PVC tarpaulin fabric are extremely stable. The arched shape and the smooth PVC surface make snow loads slide off the roof fabric. It's still important to remove excess snow from the shelter when required for additional safety.

    • Arched buildings don't require foundations. The shelter comes with anchors for both hard and soft surfaces. The structure is fixed to the ground with three anchors per foot - for solid grounds, concrete anchors are used. One metre long ground stakes are used for tunnel buildings placed on soft ground.

    • High weather resistance and the extraordinary stability of our fabric structures facilitates year-round use and offers maximum protection from wind and snow.

Arched shelters well suited for use on farms

With the help of an arched tent, you can create storage areas on a farm with great flexibility. The arched design of these fabric structures makes them ideal for use in exposed areas, as wind forces and rain are naturally deflected away from the canopy. Being able to install entry and exits gates at both endwalls can also play a role in optimising on-farm workflow.

In general, the range of uses for arched halls in agriculture is extremely versatile. Use the large canopy to protect your harvest, machines or vehicles from rain and wind. This round arched tent is often used as storage for hay or other types of fodder.

The big advantage of a fabric structure compared to a barn or other permanent farm building: you don't need to pour a foundation. The purchase price is also low compared to permanent buildings. Given the low cost of the tent and assembly, they will stay in use for a very long time.

Other uses for a commercial shelter

Quick to build, curved structure tents create protected storage space for goods, materials and machines that are susceptible to heavy weather conditions. Even larger vehicles like lorries, mobile homes and yachts can be stored in our fabric buildings. With a maximum width of 15.25 metres, our largest models can be used as a hangar or temporary aircraft shelter for storing small aircraft.

Fabric covered buildings are suitable for use as a workshop, as a canopy over your construction site or as storage in forestry.

Installation of your tension fabric building

To erect a temporary fabric building, no foundation is required. Most arched storage tents (depending on their size) can be set up without a building permit. Installation is simple and quick due to a detailed instruction manual and labelled parts. Only standard tools are required to install the structure. Make sure to have a forklift with a load capacity of 1.6t on hand at delivery in order to unload the wooden crates containing your storage shelter. Large metal feet secure the fabric building to the ground with anchoring systems for either concrete or soil. Anchors for both surfaces - M12 concrete anchors and 1 m long pegs - are included in the delivery.
