Guarantee conditions

GFP Handels GesmbH, Passauerstraße 24, A-4070 Eferding, Austria ("GFP"), grants end customers for greenhouses, raised beds and cold frames, metal tool sheds and tool cabinets ("the product") the guarantee shown for the respective products in accordance with the following conditions.

The frame

In addition to the legally regulated guarantee, GFP grants you a 15- year extended guarantee on the frame and the aluminium frame parts in accordance with the following conditions: The guarantee period begins in each case on the day of delivery, which must be proven by the proof of purchase, such as invoice, delivery note or the delivery protocol of the delivery agent.

Exclusions:
The guarantee period does not apply to natural wear and tear or transport damage, nor to environmental damage caused by hail, wind or snow loads, nor to damage caused as a result of non-compliance with the assembly instructions and non-standard installation, use of non-original materials, mechanical damage, the influence of chemicals, natural disasters and other types of external force. The manufacturer is not liable for indirect consequential damage or financial loss. Repair does not renew or extend the guarantee period.
The manufacturer reserves the right to decide on the manner of settlement of guarantee claims. In the event of a guarantee claim, malfunction or need for spare parts, please contact our service department.
The roof of your greenhouse must be cleared of snow and ice during the winter months!

Twin-wall panels made of polycarbonate

Guarantee period:
The guarantee period begins with the delivery of the twin-wall sheets and is 10 years. According to the manufacturer's guarantee, GFP guarantees the purchasers that the twin-wall sheets manufactured by its supplier have the following properties during the guarantee period:

Light transmission:
The UV- protected surface retains its light transmission. The loss of light transmittance over the entire panel width is not higher than 8 % (eight) compared to the original sample after 10 years from delivery according to ASTM D 1003 standard (measured at the average mean value over the entire panel width).

Break resistance:
During the guarantee period, we guarantee that hail will not cause the panels to break. Our twin-wall sheets are tested under laboratory conditions and withstand a simulated hail test involving 20 mm thick artificial hailstones shot at the UV- protected element surface at a speed of 21 m/s, enough to penetrate the surface of the panels.

Validity:
The manufacturer's guarantee is only valid if the goods are sold and installed within Europe.

For the exact details of the manufacturer's guarantee, also with regard to the regulation of the replacement service, guarantee prerequisite, exclusion of liability, etc., please refer to the guarantee data sheet of the supplier GFP. You will find this in the corresponding assembly instructions of your purchased product.

The assembly / installation was carried out competently according to the enclosed assembly instructions.

The product has been used exclusively for its intended purpose and within the scope of normal use.

The product is owned by the original purchaser and has not been disassembled and reassembled.

The guarantee covers parts which are demonstrably unusable or considerably impaired in their usability due to faulty design or defective workmanship.

Parts will be repaired or replaced free of charge at our discretion.
We do not cover the costs for removal, installation and transport.
Replaced parts either become the property of GFP or are to be disposed of by the customer.
GFP accepts no liability for any secondary damage.

This guarantee does not cover defects which are due to:

• transport damage (the carrier is liable for this - please report immediately)
• external influence or forces, extraordinary natural phenomena (e. g. hail)
• general assembly errors
• defects with the foundation, lack of water drainage in the area around the base
• unsuitable installation site and/or lack of anchoring
• paint damage and scratches that are not immediately repaired
• maintenance errors (e.g. not oiling/greasing the lock and hinges).
• excessive levels of humidity or aggressive environmental substances (e. g.: aggressive and abrasive cleaning agents, road salt, fertilisers and other chemical substances, salty and/or sandy local conditions).
• colour changes, as dyes can change over time

For rubber and plastic parts, only the statutory guarantee period of 24 months applies.

The buyer or a third party cannot derive any further rights from this guarantee, in particular no claims for damages of any kind or rights of offsetting or retention.

The statutory guarantee claims remain unaffected by this guarantee.
